Tisifenee Taylor, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Hello! My name is Tisifenee Taylor, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I was born and raised in New Jersey, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Monmouth University. After graduating, I pursued my passion for track and field, which led me to Texas. During that time, I worked in the school system as a case manager, an experience that deepened my interest in supporting others and ultimately guided me toward a career in mental health counseling. I later earned my Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
My goal as a therapist is to help individuals move forward toward a healthier and more fulfilling life. I take a holistic and client-centered approach, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs. I integrate a range of therapeutic techniques that allow for flexibility and personalized care when working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-esteem challenges, performance-related stress, and other life difficulties. I enjoy working with children ages 6 and older, as well as adults, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
I am particularly passionate about supporting athletes who experience performance anxiety, pressure, or feelings of discouragement. As a former athlete myself, I understand the emotional demands that can come with competition and high expectations. I draw from my personal and professional experiences to help athletes develop resilience, confidence, and a healthier relationship with performance.
