Fatima Fares, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
I was born in Palestine and raised in Puerto Rico. I earned my first Master’s degree in Behavioral Science in Puerto Rico and worked in private practice settings focused on conflict mediation. After moving to Florida in 2017, I pursued a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further expand my clinical training.
I provide individual therapy in English, Arabic, and Spanish, and my multicultural background shapes how I understand identity, belonging, family dynamics, and emotional expression.
I enjoy working with young adults and older adults as they navigate emotional wellbeing, life transitions, and personal growth. My professional experience includes work in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, as well as substance use treatment programs, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, substance use concerns, and major life changes.
My approach to therapy is integrative and adaptable, allowing treatment to be tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a supportive and respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing journey.
